The answer would depend upon which region you refer to.
For instance, in New England, you're looking at an average age of between 25 or 26 for men and their brides were typically one to two years younger. In the Chesapeake colonies (Virginia), the males married at nearly the same age as those in New England, but their brides were typically five to seven years younger. Marriage for the Quakers came much later. For males it was the late twenties to early thirties. For the women, the mid twenties.
The "myth" of the young teen bride is mostly attributed to the backcountry settlements. While the age at marriage was much younger, between 19 to 21 for both men and women, the 13-15 year old bride was very uncommon during colonial times.
